Chris Jackson Weds Natasha Archer in France

Sunday, April 30, 2017

I know everyone has been waiting and wondering. There were rumors that royal photographer Chris Jackson and Kate's personal assistant Natasha Archer were getting married this weekend! He just confirmed that they did with a stunning black and white on his Instagram page. The handsome couple wed in Bordeaux, France at Chateau Rigaud according to the photo's tag:

A post shared by Chris Jackson (@chrisjacksongetty) on

A guest shared this snap of the reception venue:

Natasha's dress is absolutely beautiful...kind of hope he posts a few more in color. I also love her graceful chignon that looks very much in the same vein as a certain HRH's favorite up-do. Now the Jacksons share their wedding anniversary weekend with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who celebrated six years yesterday!

Best wishes!

  2. Thanks Jane - not "everyone" was wondering and waiting; some of us were oblivious!
But what a nice surprise and here's a link if anyone is curious about the venue:

  3. I saw this on Chris' IG @chrisjacksongetty. (He's the royal photog for Getty Images.) And checked here because I thought for sure you would post about it.

What a beautiful bride and gorgeous reception! Cheers to the happy couple!!

  4. She looks beautiful, they look happy and that's a gorgeously decorated reception venue! Based on his IG they seem to be a couple that has a lot of fun together. Are we sure they were married today? Based on the 14h ago time stamp from IG and how he listed the venue I believe they got married on April 29th...W&Ks anniversary...that annoys me. Be more original if you are that closely linked to the Cambridges.

    A couple things about Natasha:
    - what did she study in school? Fashion or design? Wondering what credentials she has that has elevated her to assisting in the styling of one of the most watched women in the world.
    - my guess is W&K have no concerns about a conflict of interest. Chris and Natasha hang out when on royal tours...cafes in Paris, hiking together in Bhutan, etc.

    1. I guess it's really different points of view.... I wouldn't be offended if someone close to me got married on the same day nor does it offend me that they may have gotten married on W&K's day. Things happen, there must be a reason they picked that day and I don't think it has anything to do with W&K.

As far as her background, it is my understanding that Natasha started as a personal assistant and that has morphed into also helping with the clothes. I bet Kate doesn't think of her as a stylist, that's a term the public and press use. But she does source clothes, probably brings items to Kate's attention, works with stores/designers at Kate's direction, etc. I have seen on Chris' IG N in several pieces that we have also seen Kate wear. My point is, I don't think she's a "stylist", I think she's an assistant who also helps Kate manage her wardrobe, pick clothes, etc. That's not to down N, I just think it's part of her job not the whole thing. Kate's office has always said she doesn't have a stylist, but clearly she would need help with her extensive clothing needs.

I also think that N has probably learned a tremendous amount being blessed to be in her position. And with a natural talent, I think she's an asset to Kate.

    2. Anon 8:41 - I said annoyed, I am definitely not "offended" over them sharing an anniversary with the Cambridges ;-)

Kate would need help, absolutely, I'm just curious what her background is. How are you qualified to be Kate's PA anyway?

I also believe one lady who helped the Queen with her clothes for years now designs clothes for the Queen and has an apartment for life due to her service for QueenE. I'm not sure if she used to be a seamstress or was trained or if it was a natural emerging gift.

Things I'm curious about...how does one get this job?? :-)

    3. I know you aren't offended, I meant if it happened personally to me... it's hard sometimes to be clear in the comments...

I don't think their backgrounds or education are amazing, I think they are just in the right place at the right time. I think Rebecca Deacon was newly hired to help with Princess Diana's memorial concert, at a very jr. position. And then everyone liked her, she was about Kate's age, and she became her assistant.

    4. Good point Anon 9:41 it may be as simple as the right time/place! Then Natasha is pretty lucky to have a fun gig, life experiences and something that will look great on a resume! (If she doesn't stay for life)

Also, I understand. I personally wouldn't be offended or annoyed if someone shared my anniversary. Annoyed was too strong of a word, I guess initially I hoped it wasn't strategic on Natasha's part to do it intentionally. And I'll never know if it was or wasn't, but they both have demanding jobs where they needed to find the right window.

    5. I definitely don't see why anyone would be annoyed by someone picking the same wedding date as an employer or friend. It's just a date on the calendar. People choose wedding dates based on availability of venues, personal preference and what is right for their families.

A personal assistant doesn't need specific training. They just need to be good at anticipating people's needs and have a good work ethic. Having good communication skills, also very much helps. But no specific degree from a college or university would make them more or less qualified. Same thing with the pseudo stylist role. Just because someone goes to fashion school doesn't make them "fashionable" in the Kate/royal style. I could see that style to dress being frustrating for a true fashionista. Also, like others have said I'm sure she is just doing the leg work of ordering clothing and tasks like that.

    6. What possible strategic reason would they choose the same date as Kate and William? I think that's stretching. They chose a date that works for them, works for the venue, and works for their loved ones. And that date happened to be 4/29.

    7. Jane my investigate skills were correct; they married on Saturday, April 29th. Their wedding photographer has confirmed the wedding was Saturday. ;-)

  5. I thought it was a bit of an odd date choice, considering the connection to W+K. Though, to be fair, both Tasha and Chris have crazy schedules, so perhaps this was one of the few dates that worked; ah, scheduling..the toughest part of wedding planning.
I do wonder if Kate and William attended...for a modern wedding with a dedicated hashtag (#chateaujacko) there are surprisingly few snaps on Instagram. Perhaps to keep the royal presence hush hush? Who knows! Either way, happy for them both, they seem like a lovely couple.

    1. I suspect maybe a number of their guests have restricted IG accounts. Her IG account is under an alias. Perhaps some of their friends are giving them a bit of privacy right now to release the images at their pace. ?

  6. She looks gorgeous! Beautiful dress and such a happy smile. If their wedding date is the same as W&K, given their professions, at least they'll know that they will always have their own anniversary off!

    1. Good point! Although W&K don't always spend it together, but they might still avoid scheduling events to avoid a distraction from whatever event they would attend?
