Eugenie and Jack's Official Wedding Portraits

Saturday, October 13, 2018

The Palace has released Jack and Eugenie's four official wedding photos (if you missed my full recap posted this morning, see here). First, the two chose the classic group shot with just the bridal party. Aren't Charlotte and George sweet over on bench together.

Second, they picked a one of the family shot with both the Brooksbanks and the Duke and Duchess of York.

Third, the couple chose an artistic shot of the two in the Scottish State Coach, which I really think is unique and fun.

Finally, in an unusual move for royals, the two released a snap from their reception. Emily Andrews reports that this is a Zac Posen dress with the white rose of York embroidered on the shoulders, and she is wearing Queen Victoria's wheat-ear brooch as a hair pin.

This was very fun, and I love that they released this picture. I don't think it hurts for the royals to allow a small peak into these private moments.

  4. Perhaps my favorite wedding photos ever. So much love, and everything is just GORGEOUS! I'm so glad they released some unofficial pictures - what a treat for all of us, and a way to extend the celebration of joy. So much color in the wedding and photos - I loved the jewel tones, and this reception dress is stunning! I can just imagine all the fun they are having together. The children will never forget these royal weddings, what fun! Congratulations to the beautiful bride and adorable groom, beaming parents and the entire royal family.

  6. Fabulous photos and I love that they released two intimate photos of them. I believe the Cambridges only released formal wedding photos, right? I think they are very much in love and despite his shyness he agreed to the public royal wedding she had probably dreamed about her entire life. I wish them every happiness!

    2. Anon 11:43pm that wasn't a professional wedding photo from their private photographer(s). I believe they allowed some press outside of Clarence House when they were leaving for the reception - to me these are the equivalent of photos taken outside the church. Also, these photos you speak of show Catherine walking alongside Camilla, and William walking alongside Charles. This photo of Eugenie and Jack was by their personal photographers and inside the venue. :-)

  7. Once again Eugenie has hit it out of the park! Gorgeous and unique photos and another really beautiful dress. She looks just beautiful and every inch a very happy bride. I am really starting to love this couple and I'm a little sad they won't be part of the working royal group!

    1. Right with you!!!! Eugenie is so lovely & her hisbamd delightful. You see so much love & class among the two of them. I think Harry & Meghan should observe a few things, I admit I am worried for these two after their cold display in the church. I would adore seeing Meghan use bristish designesrrs i.nHer clothing choices. I read her Canadian bff is going on the tour with her & Harry. However...I do not think she can capture the British following they need. I wish she would has seeeked the advice of Kate’s fashion expert. She’s missing a lot by not seeking advice & she will be down graded rathe quickly. I also wonder if this relationship happened to quickly as she seems abit not willing to cooperate with the BFF. Please share your toughtd.

  9. Am I the only one that thinks this dress is very weird with the two brown patches!????

    1. It's just shadows. There aren't really patches of brown under Eugenie's bustline. In order to avoid this, there would have needed to be a low flash aimed upwards which would have had some other weird and undesirable effects on the subjects. If the picture is looked at carefully, a shadow also make it look like Jack quickly started growing a beard after the ceremony! Shadows are so often part of photos our eyes usually ignore them.

    2. It’s the light/shadows hitting the fabric! I don’t think Zach Posen would intentionally put brown patches there, much less on a bride...

    3. Yes, it’s weird in my eyes too! Mainly because in my eyes the brown patches make this outfit look like it’s worn by some kind of virgin soldier in her harness, Joan of Arc style. Or a magnificent archangel.

    4. It's a combination of lighting and whatever was done to edit/enhance the photos.

  11. I have to say the one odd/funny thing I found was their cake cutting photo how Jack was behind the cake and you can barely see him! LOL!

  12. I love how the neckline of her reception gown gently echoes the neckline of her wedding gown! Well done, Eugenia!

  13. I have to say that I'm not the hugest fan of her evening gown. The nip at the waist makes her look teeny tiny but I think that particular detail only makes her shoulders look broader. I think this gown with a halter shaped bodice would be beautiful. Obviously, this would not be a good option for the cooler autumn weather, but I think it would make a beautiful make-over for spring.
