Princess Eugenie's Rising Star Balancing the Sussexes?

HRH Princess Eugenie and Her Majesty the Queen, Maundy Thursday, 2019
Every year on Holy Thursday, the Queen attends a service marking Jesus's Last Supper. The service has become known for the tradition of the monarch's almsgiving. This year, I was delighted to see that Eugenie joined the Queen at St. George's Chapel, Windsor, for the service. The newlywed looked striking, in my opinion, wearing a floral Erdem (I loved it!!) and a Juliette Botterill braided pillbox. Today, I saw that the event caught Ephraim Hardcastle's eye, and he made the following interesting point:

I like Eugenie a lot. She has been floating on and off of my radar over the years as her path has crossed Kate's. I have written about how I think Eugenie really admires Kate, and the sweet relationship they have forged.  Eugenie definitely upped her "active status" in the royal family in the last year. She launched her personal Instagram on March 8th of 2018 and attractively promotes her charities and causes, as well as mixing in bits of her personal life on that account.

Obviously, she has the Queen's blessing in her endeavors, and this latest outing with HM was clearly intentional. I remember how the Queen smiled at Eugenie as she walked up the aisle in October of last year. HM is clearly very fond of Eugenie, and I think she may have decided that with Harry's engagement to Meghan, it was time for more Windsors to be out working. Meghan and Harry are certainly plotting a progressive trajectory for their royal careers, and I wonder if the Queen decided to balance some of that out by fielding long-time members of her family to continue in the more traditional royal vein?
